Precision Gear Grinding
Specified finished tooth geometry in industrial and vehicle drives.
Custom helical gears and combined transmission parts for industrial and electric-vehicle drives. Manufactured to your tooth geometry, shaft interfaces and finishing requirements.

Helical gears use angled teeth, allowing engagement to develop progressively across the face. They are frequently selected for transmissions where smooth running and acoustic behavior matter. The mesh also introduces axial thrust, which must be accommodated by the shaft and bearing arrangement.
For external helical gears on parallel axes, helix hand and the normal or transverse definition of module must be clear. KERVELD manufactures custom helical components around the approved drawing, including gear blanks, integrated shafts and compound gear features.

Include these details with your drawing so we can assess manufacturing, inspection and quotation requirements.
| Review item | What to define |
|---|---|
| Helix geometry | Helix angle, helix hand and the normal or transverse gear system. |
| Tooth data | Module or pitch, tooth count, pressure angle and modification notes. |
| Interfaces | Bearing journals, bore or spline fit, axial location and runout limits. |
| Finishing condition | Cut or ground tooth requirement, treatment and finishing allowance. |
| NVH and inspection | Specified profile/lead evaluation and system-level noise acceptance, if applicable. |

No. Component measurements support the requirement, but system noise also depends on bearings, housing, alignment, lubrication and operating conditions.
