CNC Turning & Component Machining
Journal fits, shoulders and integrated transmission features.
Custom gear shafts and spline shafts for agricultural, electric-vehicle and industrial transmissions. Gear teeth, bearing journals and mounting features are manufactured to your complete shaft drawing.

Gear shafts integrate a toothed feature with the shaft that carries it. Spline shafts transmit torque through multiple mating teeth while allowing the fit and axial movement specified by the designer. A component may combine both features with journals, shoulders, threads and locating faces.
Our range includes agricultural gearbox shafts, reducer gear shafts and electric-drive transmission shafts. We review the complete shaft, including tooth-to-journal alignment and each mating interface.

Include these details with your drawing so we can assess manufacturing, inspection and quotation requirements.
| Review item | What to define |
|---|---|
| Shaft geometry | Overall length, stepped diameters, journal fits and shoulder locations. |
| Gear features | Tooth count, module, pressure angle and helix data where applicable. |
| Spline definition | Standard, tooth data, fit class and any timing relationship. |
| Datum relationships | Tooth-to-journal runout, coaxiality and mounting-face requirements. |
| Treatment and reports | Hardness zones, case depth, distortion limits and inspection records. |

CNC turning and machining create the shaft and interface geometry. Gear cutting and specified finishing must then preserve the defined relationship to the journals and shoulders. Long or stepped shafts also need a support and workholding plan that suits the part rather than the tooth feature alone.
